Our client is a renowned American Fine Dining Steakhouse Chain with a growing presence in Asia. Their newly opened restaurant in Guangzhou is situated within one of the premier developments in downtown Guangzhou. The restaurant has 200 seats plus private dining rooms. The Executive Chef will report to the General Manager and also be responsible for the lunch and dinner time service. In addition the chef will be responsible for all aspects of the kitchen and a team of approximately 30 chefs and stewards.
We are looking for a chef with a proven track record in working with the finest imported meats and seafood in a steakhouse operation, he/she should be used to operating at the highest level and under pressure at the same time keeping strict hygiene standards in check.
The ideal candidate will currently be in a similar position with a five star hotel or free standing steakhouse in Asia, It is desirable that candidates will be strong in English and Mandarin. Pre-opening experience in China would be a distinct advantage.
This position has good career development opportunities as the company is expanding throughout the region. This will be a semi expat package with a base salary in the region of RMB 30-40K per month, plus bonus, medical etc… Candidates will be required to conduct 2 months training in the USA or Hong Kong
