Our client is the owner and operator of on-trend, large scale restaurant and hotel developments in Australia. Their latest project is 150 seat modern Cantonese restaurant set to open on the Wharf in in Brisbane. The restaurant will cover 2 floors of a heritage listed building, the interior design is being completed by one of the region’s top designers and will feature traditional hand painted screens and porcelain but also modern touches.
The cuisine is modern Cantonese with contemporary presentation targeting the Australian demographic. We are looking for an up and coming Executive Chef that has cut his teeth in top Cantonese fine dining restaurants yet has a modern approach to the cooking and presentation.
The selected chef must have worked internationally and be able to communicate in both English and Chinese, the right person will be media savvy and able and willing to do interviews, cooking demo’s and TV appearances.
This is a local position with a base salary in the range of US$ 12K per month plus very attractive pension scheme. The client will arrange work visas and travel to Australia. We need a chef that can start by spring 2019 to do the opening.
